After wearing your suit for an entire day, it’s essential to give it time to rest. Hang it on a wooden coat hanger with properly shaped shoulders to maintain its form. 

Before placing the suit back in your wardrobe, allow it to air out, ensuring it’s kept away from direct sunlight. Use a natural-bristle brush to gently remove any dust, and check for stains. Be sure to empty the pockets and remove any food or drink stains, as these can attract insects. 

Sachets of potpourri infused with camphor or naphthalene are excellent natural deterrents for protecting your garments. 

Dry cleaning should be reserved for occasions when it’s absolutely necessary, as the solvents used can degrade the natural fibers over time, altering the fabric’s quality and reducing the lifespan of your suit. 

Additionally, take care when ironing at home—incorrect methods can create a permanent shine on the fabric, which can be difficult to reverse.
